Stereo-Ready Monitors

Stereo-Ready CRT Monitors

Note:
Stereoscopic viewing with page flipping requires a CRT monitor. Stereoscopic viewing in page-flipping mode is not possible with LCD flat panels.

We recommend that stereoscopic viewing be performed on monitors supporting a vertical refresh rate of 100hz or more, to avoid noticeable flicker. The CRT monitors listed below will support at least 100hz at a resolution of 1024x768.

We have supplied a list of monitors that should provide reasonable stereo viewing when used in conjunction with StereoGraphics Stereo3D visualization products. StereoGraphics Corporation has made the best efforts to provide accurate information. We cannot be held responsible for changes made by manufacturers.

Please check with the manufacturers specifications to ensure that the high refresh rate is supported at your required resolution. In some cases, the fast vertical refresh rate may only be available at the lowest resolution.

Stereo Monitor Advisory
This list provides limited information on compatible monitors. Please contact the monitor manufacturer for complete specifications, compatible resolutions and scan rates for your application. Note that the maximum vertical listing may only be at the lowest resolution.

Typical refresh vertical rate needed for stereo is 100 -120 Hz.

Be aware of the resolution limits of the monitor and note that at 120 Hz vertical refresh the monitor may not be able to perform to the maximum horizontal resolution specification stated. Reducing the vertical refresh may allow the monitor to achieve higher resolution for stereo display. Conversely lowering the horizontal resolution may allow the monitor refresh to a higher vertical rate.

Still in Production

  • NEC AccuSync 120-BK (21", 800 x 600 @ 120 Hz, 1280 x 720 @ 100 Hz)

As the world's display manufacturers shift their focus to LCDs, Stereo-capable CRT monitors are getting hard to find. RealD understands this dilemma and is actively researching new display technologies. Until these new technologies come to fruition, please use this list of CRTs in your searches.
